
Bendt Sorensen, BSc
Mr. Sorensen has more than 25 years experience in High Tech industries, both in a technical and/or management capacity and as a founder and entrepreneur.
After a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Degree in Business Administration all obtained in Denmark, he worked for the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany where he was involved in the development of a Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope as well as other projects in the area of Molecular Biology research.
From 1978 till 1980, Bendt worked in the area of computer test software for CTM in Konstanz, Germany and then joined Motorola’s European Headquarter in Geneva, Switzerland where, among other activities,he was a member of the MC6804 microprocessor design team.
In 1986, Mr. Sorensen formed MOSCAD, a microelectronics design and design-automation consultancy company. MOSCAD has been successfully involved in many projects ranging from a 32-RISC processor design, design of CMOS Motor Controller IC’s, to setting up and managing IC Design groups for its customers.
Mr. Sorensen started Meta-Software Europe in 1990, as a fully owned subsidiary of Meta-Software, Inc., of which he was President until Meta-Software, Inc was sold in 1997 to Avant Corporation.
In 1997 he co-founded Antrim Design Systems, Inc., an EDA Company specialized in Analog Design Automation Software. Mr. Sorensen was their VP of technology until the Company was sold to Cadence Design Systems in 2003.
Mr. Sorensen holds several patents in the area of IC design, Design Automation Software and algorithms.
