A trilingual Havana native with a strong work history managing industrial construction projects and startups, Ivette Vera-Perez comes to Baystream Corporation with an MBA from McGill University, an M.A.Sc. from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a B.Eng. from Havana.
Ivette brings to Baystream Corporation a wealth of experience and a strong interest in green technologies and sustainable development. In Havana, she worked as a Thermal Energy Specialist at a Novo Nordisk-licensed insulin plant, where she chaired the plant's commissioning and startup teams, participated in the Validation Commission (ISO 9000), and designed and oversaw a range of modifications and improvements to the lab's performance, efficiency and safety.
At UBC, Ivette conducted research and published papers in major
journals on the treatment of toxic industrial wastes. As Business
Development Manager for a green energy company, she evaluated and
developed projects aiming to convert biomass residues into energy
for Canadian and Latin American markets.
