Process Improvement
ProModel Solutions
Process modeling is at the heart of business planning and business improvement. The most commonly used modeling method is an EXCEL spread-sheet representing a financial plan, but EXCEL becomes impossibly complex in dynamic situations. Specialized tools exist to perform such tasks as supply-chain optimization, implement LEAN Six Sigma or plan a product portfolio.
Process modeling and optimization are among the most important tools used to find ways of reducing waste and enhancing efficiency.
Even the simplest business, involving just one person behind a counter, can be described in terms of processes. Process optimization means tweaking the processes so that desirable attributes, such as productivity, or cash flow are maximized while undesirable ones, such as waste or resources are minimized.
The eminent process modeling, visualization and simulation system on the market today, is ProModel's Process Simulator. Complementing the Process Simulator are the Project Simulator, which is an add on for Microsoft Project, and the Portfolio Simulator, which is an enterprise-level tool to minimize risk and model returns for a collection of projects.
