How we provide value: Preparing the Company for the Investor

Only a small fraction of the time and energy that is spent in the development of a profitable organization, is ever spent in caring for the “marketing” of the organization to its owners and potential investors. Companies sometimes have huge PR budgets, but this is directed towards increasing the image as far as product is concerned which only indirectly affects value.

Bay Stream Ventures is specialized in looking at a Company from the point of view of an Investor, packaging information in a manner that is expected by the investors in question. We provide both coaching and an extension to our Client’s workforce, and where necessary, we completely review and reorganize Due Diligence data, Business and Financial Plans.

How we provide value: our Network

We hold privileged relationships, built over many years, with decision-makers and industry-leaders, working for Funds, Angels, Investment Banks and large Companies worldwide. Our reputation is one of reliability and careful research. Thus, we only introduce a portfolio Client to one of our contacts, when we can do so out of conviction and knowledge and only when we believe that the Client is prepared for the Due Diligence phase. Many potentially good deals are wasted because of poor preparation.

A common mistake

Companies sometimes ask us to skip all preparatory work; all they need are introductions – they think. Free of charge, we can provide people a list of over 2,000 investment sources in North America alone, but providing addresses is not what Bay Stream Ventures is about. We only involve ourselves where we can provide value.
